Feeling of Appreciation

As I walk to the bus stop every night after work Downtown I have started to notice something. There are homeless people who sleep outside the front of the buildings no matter what the weather conditions may be. I know at times I have intentionally said something along the lines of "Why does it feel like I'm alone with all the people around me?" as if I really was alone and no one cared about me.

In reality, I never really had the right to say such things because those homeless people that I see every night truly may have no one (other then their peer homeless mates) who care or even notice that they exist in this world, a human being just like the rest of us. For those of us who are gracious enough to have a roof over our head and food to eat every night, even during the worst of times we should all always have a feeling of appreciation for what we have people and material wise to enjoy the day may be the same place where someone has to sleep for the night.
