Back to The Routine!

How am I holding up the first week  back from school? I am actually holding my own fairly well for the amount of work on my plate. I haven't been able to read a book as of yet, however, I plan on beginning some reading tomorrow night (why tomorrow, because my school doesn't have class on Fridays). My Project 365 is going pretty well (visit my first 5 days here) and my first photo being blogged with other Project 365 community members (visit here).

While completing some homework tonight, I listen to Pandora radio and heard this band called "Within Temptation." If you have not listened to them, finish reading this post and please listen to "What Have You Done Now" and "The Howling" you will not regret it.

I have a feeling that if I can grip of my work and free time, I will become a completely happy person! Well time to finish watching Top Chef, I may take a nap and continue some work to get ahead.

Finally Done!!!!

Yes I am finally done with the worse trimester I've ever had in college! Why is it the worse you may say, all but 1 professor actually taught me something. He didn't teach the traditional boring English class that a lot of professors do. He taught about effective persuasion and how to use it in the world (for good of course), the news and how they actually operate and a lot more. My english teacher definietly without a doubt the best professor I've had in college and he will also be my Food Writing professor for this next tri.

While everyone is on spring break starting today, its not a break for me. Starting next Thrusday I will begin my co-op that I have been waiting so long to do. That means that I definietly have to study and I can finally read the cookbooks that I have bought this month. Well I'm going to take off from this and relax with the little free time that I do have right now.

Extra Money In School Account....... No Problem!!!!

Ok so with extra money in my school account I could wait until the end of the school year and just blow it on anything! That's not my style at all, so I decided to be productive with my extra money. I'm obssessed with cook books and there is one that I have been wanting for a long time. Thomas Keller's Bouchon cook book has been on my list and I finally got it!!!! Still with three other cook books in front of it to read I can't wait to crack that bad boy open!

As I was also in the bookstore I noticed that there was a pasta machine, kind of small but not too small. Being in love with Italian/Mediterranean cuisine, I looked at it and said "I GOTTA HAVE IT!" So I looked it, looked at the price and bought it with the extra money from school! Unfortunately, I didn't like how the size adjustor dial was, instead of just turning it, I had to pull it out and then change it. Which then I saw a major flaw and easily broken part on it so I ended up taking it back. I'll probably end up buying some more books though with the money that was supposed to be used for the pasta machine.

I guess college isn't all that bad with surprise quizzes, tests and the most unfair idiotic professors when the bookstore has the book you want and you can buy it basically for free!!!! (Well its not directly out of your pocket, so its kidna free in a way.)

14 Days Left of the Trimester!

*What's with me 24/7 (well not everywhere) and gets me through the college days: My iPOD!*

For those who know about the trimester system know that when there is a 2 week (or longer) winter break in the beginning of the tri, it can make it seem like forever. Well that's where I'm at right now, week 10 of 11 and it seem like its been 20 weeks! Happy with my new laptop I'm finally not the odd kid in English class who is actually paying attention instead of being on Facebook or like me blogging on here now! Although my English professor is the best professor I have this tri, I'll pay attention and learn anyways laptop or not.

Plans for today, class from 8am-12pm, break from 12pm-2pm (playing around on new laptop), English class from 2pm-4pm, work study from 4pm-9pm and hopefully finish The Silver Spoon Cookbook during work study. Lucky for me I have work study in CAS (Center for Academic Service) open lab part of our library so there's not much really to do unless somebody wants to borrow a book.

Oh and I like to come up with quotes at least everyday, although I'm not a slam poet I love that type of poetry and I guess this is my way of using my creative word play. I may start to post some on here throughout the next blogs.

Ok so now I have to get ready to take a quiz over the end of the book 1984. Peace out for now people!
