Working full time as a line cook, building up my Food Writing/Food Photography [normal photography] careers, getting ready for school to begin, figuring out how many community service hours I have to do for my commitment with the UCAN Serve Americorps program. Haha I guess I'm really putting myself out there to be busy. It's like I have a sign on my head that states "My schedule may not be completely open, but I can try to fit something in." When in reality, if I could really just map out every minute of my day, the amount of busy time would be Goliath and my free time would be David.
Thank goodness for coffee and pandora though! Well, I just thought I would leave a quick update! I have to get back to work so see you later (well I can't really see you) but you get the idea.
Oh and I missed the word of the week again! I'm trying to do it on Monday's like I anticipated. I started out on Monday, last week did it Tuesday and now I have to do it on Wednesday (today depending on your time zone.) Ahhh on my next day off (whenever that will be) I definitely have to sit down and organize everything in specific and strict time slots.
Everything life comprises of from day-to-day basis in the view of my eyes and into writing.

Current State of Me June 9th. 2010
Its the summer time and while most of the people I know are out partying, having fun, etc. I'm working in a restaurant, on the line. It may be hot outside, but its even hotter in a place full of heat and people working hard to get food out to guests (consisting of those who may be out on a date, business meeting, in the area or at the bar getting a little tipsy from the martini bar.) The saying is "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!" I am so obsessed with being in the kitchen that if I didn't have to leave, then I probably wouldn't (except on the need to basis of course.)
That has pretty much been what has kept me occupied these beginning weeks of the summer. That's ok though, because when I go out to play, I don't do the normal play, I play to the max! Reasons why I decide to work all summer instead of play is a simple mathematical structured equation.
For myself: Work hard (3 months straight) = Play hard (9 months straight)+Work Steady (9 months straight).
Now that equation may not fit everyone's lifestyle which is ok by all means. Maybe you're equation consists of even 6 months a piece, or you work hard 12 months straight or you may even play hard and work none 12 months straight (sorry for those type of people, no offense.)
I have Friday and Saturday off though which is pretty good. Oh and did I mention that it is pay day this Friday? I finally get the reap the rewards of working hard for weeks and will enjoy every bit of it!
Oh and side note, my Marshmallows (JVC Headphones) malfunctioned so I was sent the newer models courtesy of JVC (great customer service if I may add.) Instead of using my big headphones that I usually only like to use when i am inside of my own confinement to focus, I can finally have music be the drug to my ears in smaller version but with the same impact.

Learning From Mistakes
I'm the type of person who has to be busy doing something, its in my blood and I can't deny it. When I tell my college advisers of my schedule they all usually end up saying "I am spreading myself too thin!" At those times I didn't understand it, but they knew the type of person that I was so they knew I could handle it.
Now I feel like I have spread myself too thin! As of recently I was let go from my co-op, not for my work ethic but for messing up on basics that I knew of. I'm not a man of excuses, I tried to work a side job and do my co-op resulting in literally 2-3 hours of sleep a night. After I recognized that the schedule was too much I let go of the side job. But it was too late as the damage was already done. Although this is a mistake that I will never make again! I am more then gracious at the opportunity that I am given. But I will state that when it happens in another post very soon!
